Kangaroo
Kangaroo is the generic name given to a marsupial mammal belonging to four species of the genus Macropus (see box) of the Macropodidae family, which also includes the wallabees. The characteristics include very developed hind legs and the presence of a pouch (the marsupial) present only in the females in which the puppy completes its development. The kangaroo is the animal-symbol of Australia, known for its jumps. Its habitat is situated on plains. Their food is based on vegetables and fruits. Despite having a basically vegetarian diet, kangaroos are often attracted to the remains of human food, or even fed by tourists with inadequate food (eg bread). When eating this type of food, there is an imbalance of its intestinal flora and excessive fermentation, causing severe colic syndrome, which most of the time leads the animal to death.
